# Request Production

On MIDNIGHT, it is possible for a digital counterpart to exist, prior to a physical being produced. For example, this is possible via the GHOSTS project. When breeding two digital GHOSTS, the digital counterpart exists prior to the physical being produced. The digital then has no associated physical counterpart, until a given owner requests production.

Production timelines and costs vary depending on the project owners.

When a piece has been produced, it is then stored in the MIDNIGHT vault.

Whilst a piece is currently being produced, the digital counterpart remains freely tradeable. No subsequent owners can request production.

Once the piece has been produced, and is stored in the vault, the piece can then be requested for delivery if desired.
