Once breeding has been enabled, GHOST owners can take their haunting to new heights and breed their own GHOSTS! The digital portion of a GHOST is as hand-made as the physical, meaning that every Gen. Zero GHOST has been meticulously crafted by hand. This makes the breeding portion of this project all the more complex. Typically, in a project such as CryptoKitties, you take all of the possible variations for breeding, and when a user breeds two NFTs, the resultant genetics are looked up, and then provided. However, to do this for by hand for our collection size would be impossible.

The GHOSTS breeding engine is an innovative solution to the complex issue. Rather than pre-generating all possible outcomes, bred GHOSTS are generated in real time, when they are bred.

Production Rights

Once a GHOST has been bred, it is not automatically physically produced. The GHOST is birthed into the digital realm, but for it to exist in the physical realm, the owner must first utilise the Production Rights.

Whilst a GHOST has not been physically produced, it allows for easier digital trading of the GHOST. Once a physical has been produced, for a set fee, it is then automatically stored in the MIDNIGHT vault, increasing the intrinsic value of the GHOST. The physical existence of a GHOST is well reflected on the MIDNIGHT platform.

If a bred GHOST has a physical counterpart, the owner can request delivery at any given point, in line with the fees.

Breeding Timeline

The anticipated launch of breeding capabilities is Q1 2026.

Siring

If a user owns a single GHOST, and wishes to breed, they have the ability to sire (rent) an NFT from another owner. The cost for siring is user dependent.
